The HighBanks Bluegrass Band
What's Happening
The summer of 2023 saw Highbands bringing their novel style of bluegrass music to fans from Vancouver Island to Eastern Ontario. We've met a lot of great people along the way and we would to thank all of you for coming out to our shows and for supporting bluegrass music. There have been some great all-night jams with friends and pickers new and old, some sleepy mornings and some surprise guests and we hope to see you all out again next summer. We are in the process of getting some studio time booked this fall so that we can put a few recordings out on your favourite streaming sites. In the meantime we've loaded up a bunch of videos from a few of our recent shows on our music page. We're taking a short break from performing for a few weeks but we'll be back at it soon so keep an eye on our events page to find out more about where HighBanks be playing.
The Band
Denis LePage, a multi award winning banjoist and one of Canada’s best known 5-string banjo players.
Eric Brousseau, one of Canada’s most outstanding guitar instrumentalists, singers and entertainers.
Moe Juteau, a veteran of the Canadian bluegrass music scene on mandolin, harmonica and vocals.
James Young, an outstanding bluegrass and country fiddler and singer.
Glenn George, a bluegrass veteran, solid bassist and great singer.

The band draws from a wide variety of material including traditional bluegrass music, pop and show tunes, country, originals and more. Their outstanding instrumental talent and tight vocal harmonies bring new life to many of the standards that bluegrass fans are familiar with as well as creating innovative arrangements for originals and songs drawn from other genres.
